Restorative Systems Change
Organizations operate within societal systems and also have systems within them. Looking through the interconnected lenses of restorative justice, trauma-informed and healing-centered practices, and organizational development, both types of systems can be transformed.
We support partners in shifting and transforming their organizational systems to become more supportive, restorative, accountable, and healing. By doing so, we bring about change internally that will then extend beyond organizational impact to become societal impact.
Culture shifts through sustained, intentional work require honest assessment, courageous leadership, and a commitment to repair as much as growth.
This work is a good fit if your organization is experiencing:
Widespread burnout, compassion fatigue, and/or low team morale
A culture that praises overwork and struggles to honor boundaries of time and energy
A disconnect between your stated values and the experience of day-to-day operations
High turnover or difficulty retaining talented staff, especially Black, Indigenous, or People of Color (BIPOC) and/or disabled staff, or people who have raised concerns about organizational culture
“Professionalism” standards that center whiteness, neurotypicality, and/or nondisabled norms without questioning where those standards came from
Rapid growth or transition that your current systems aren't equipped to handle
Unclear accountability structures, where harm often goes unaddressed because no one knows whose job it is to name it, or where harm is met with sanctions.
